This living Latin language course is for Beginners who have studied at least one term. Students will learn to pronounce and read Latin from original texts, both ancient and modern and to compose their own sentences.

Based on the teaching method of Reginald Foster, there are no vocabulary cards! No paradigms to memorise! Just the living language to understand, write and speak. Working slowly, using simple texts for a clear understanding of the author’s work.

We welcome all new students who have some knowledge of Latin.

Required book: Simpson, D.P. – ‘Cassell’s Latin Dictionary’ – (Macmillan, New York 1959) or equivalent, including a small English to Latin section.

Optional book: Ossa Latinitatis Sola Ad Mentem Reginaldi Rationemque – available through Amazon, or through the publisher The Catholic University of America Press.

MONDAYS:  7.00pm-9.00pm  from April 24

Course Fee: £120 for 1 term (8 weeks)
