Thames Rivers

Among the Thames rivers is the often overlooked river Brent, a tributary that runs through the London Borough of Ealing. Today much of it runs through culverts and private property. The residents of Ealing are waiting for the salmon to return and for new life to flourish again.

The river Brent is often overlooked or deliberately ignored because it has no way reached its potential for beauty, conservation and recreation. Why can’t we have salmon and trout, herons and cranes, ospreys and otters in a river that could be so lovely? Simply because noöne cares. An article about cleaning up the Brent and making it fit for humans and wildlife would be great.

Many decades of hard work and great efforts have been the necessary preparation for cleaning the river Thames before spawn and hatchlings of the Atlantic Salmon could be recently introduced into the tributaries of the Thames. The river Brent, one of the Thames tributaries, runs near to Ealing Abbey. The residents of Ealing are waiting for the salmon to return and for new life to flourish again.
